Poe, Agatha, and Me.

It's been a fairly eventful 2022 so far.

As you may have seen on my Facebook and Instagram, I paid a visit to the gravesite of Edgar Allan Poe in Baltimore a couple of weeks ago. It's something I've been wanting to do for years but put off until I just woke up one Sunday morning and went. Being spontaneous may be the theme for this year.

Poe is such a fascinating person, in life and death. On the morning I went, it was ten degrees and despite the brutal cold, there were a dozen others visiting the site.

I slacked on reading last year, but I've completed 3 books so far this year. If you are interested in seeing what I am reading or reviews on the book I've read, friend/follow me on Goodreads.

I've also read 35 short stories so far this year, all in the mystery/crime genre (surprise!), that are not tracked there.

I am still working on a new book. This is the non-fiction book I've mentioned before. After over a year of research, it's finally starting to take shape. I hope to be able to announce something VERY exciting in the next few months.

I've also got two short stories that I am polishing and plan to submit for publication (or rejection) in the next few weeks. I like both of these a great deal. If the usual suspects of magazines pass on them, they will be included in a book of short stories I plan to put out in 2023.

I'm looking forward to next week's release of the new film, "Death on the Nile". I enjoyed Kenneth Branagh's take on "Murder on the Orient Express" and have been anxiously waiting for "Nile" to come out.

The year and a half run of "Dead Man's Breath" having all 5-star reviews on Amazon has come to an end. It was bound to happen. I do appreciate EVERY review. Thank you to everyone who has left one. - to buy DMB and/or leave a review - to buy "The Raven Conspiracy" and/or leave a review
