It's taken over four years, but I've finally managed to complete the third Clay Sullivan Mystery. "Two Stones" will be released on October 7. Hopefully, it won't take as long to get #4 into print.

"Two Stones" was a tough one to complete. As the case is personal to Clay, the premise that inspired the book was very personal to me. I had to set it aside several times and work on other projects, but I kept being drawn back to it. I feel good about the end result, and I hope that readers will enjoy it.
To celebrate the release of "Two Stones", I will be at Fuzzy Dog Books in Charles Town, WV on October 18 from 10am until Noon. I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends there and hopefully meet some new ones. I'm working on something special for attendees. Stay tuned...

I'll also be one of over 40 authors appearing at Books in Savannah on November 1 in Savannah, Georgia. Details can be found at https://www.facebook.com/share/1ZU6xiHhMz/
As luck would have it, the Books in Savannah event coincides with Halloween. I'm looking forward to coming into town a couple days early and seeing some of the sights from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil like Bonaventure Cemetary, Mercer House, and Forsyth Park. I intend to take some photos and cover my trip in this blog.
The majority of my summer was spent finishing "Two Stones", then completing re-writes, then more re-writes. It did not leave much time for the leisure activities I typically enjoy during the summer- swimming, hiking, kayaking, concerts, traveling. As a result, I plan to have my next project out in April 2026, so that I can spend the summer months outdoors, but as the old saying goes "if you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans". Time will tell.
What am I currently reading?
Currently, I am consuming a steady diet of short stories. That might be a hint about my next project.
What am I currently watching?
It's football season and that means my schedule revolves around the Tennessee Volunteers. I also watch as many UT volleyball games as possible.
In terms of scripted television, I just finished binging the first two seasons of Rogue Heroes on MGM+ and am happy to hear that season 3 has just began shooting.
As I tend to gravitate back to TV shows from the 70's and 80's, I'm also working my way through Hunter on Peacock.
What am I currently listening to?
I'm really digging the new Anderson East album, Worthy, especially the tracks "Chasing You" and "Before It Gets Better".
Andy Griggs, Queensyrche, Dirty Looks and Sturgill Simpson are among the eclectic artists that make up my current playlist.
Thanks for reading and I'll (hopefully) see you soon!
