While I had originally intended to update this blog weekly, I have been unable to maintain that goal. One reason is I don't have much going on that is worthy or appropriate to blog about. Two, I have been extremely busy doing things that most readers would find boring.
Purely for the benefit of getting some writing exercise, I decided to do this blog...in a Walter Winchell-esque style, so without further ado....

Another reason I slacked on updating this blog, along with virtually every other aspect of my life, was I tested posted for Covid in mid-September and felt under the weather for a few days, but was out of sorts for a couple of weeks. Catching up with work and a major personal issue have taken up most of my time since then....
...In the last week, I have found some time to work on a nonfiction project that is time sensitive. I wish I could have worked on it during my downtime, but I had a major bout with insomnia that seemingly short circuited my ability to focus and concentrate....
...Since I last posted, the immensely talented Michael Kenneth Williams passed away. I have been asked who I would want to play Clay Sullivan in a movie version of "Dead Man's Breath" and I honestly have no clue. As to who might portray Calvin Redman, MKW would have been, without a shadow of doubt, my first choice...
...I was able to binge watch the fourth and apparently final season of "Goliath", an Amazon Prime series starring Billy Bob Thorton. If you haven't watched this series yet, I highly recommend it. Although it gets a little strange at times, Thorton's performance more than makes up for the oddness of certain elements...
...Such a disappointing scene in Knoxville last night. I love my Vols, but that was a bad look for the University. While I 100% agree that the officiating was obviously flawed, at best, and completely biased against Tennessee, at worst, throwing trash and debris on the field is not the way to react to it. I would also suggest that Kiffin get his players some bananas and make sure they are hydrated before their next game...
...I have totally dropped the ball on submitting short stories in 2021. I wish I could say that I will rectify that moving forward, but it would be a lie. Until I finish this nonfiction book, I doubt I get to anything else...
...then again, November is National Novel Writing Month and that challenge motivated me to finish "The Raven Conspiracy" is 5 weeks. I'm still not sure how that worked out...
...I really dig Cody Jinks' new song, 'All It Cost Me Was Everything". I highly recommend checking it out,. If you aren't familiar with Cody, his stuff is amazing, IMHO....
